She absolutely blew us away at her shoot with her willingness to try new things and fun poses; I'm so happy with how these images turned out, and I feel so blessed to get to work with this babe!

Why did you choose to do a Fearlessly Feminine shoot?

I chose to do a Fearlessly Feminine shoot because I wanted to do something special for myself and for my fiance.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

The whole experience was out of my comfort zone. I got my hair and makeup done. I got to wear sexy lingerie. Seeing the photos was my favorite part. It made me feel beautiful.

How did your boudoir session make you feel?

I was nervous at the beginning. I didn't know how to pose. Through the session, I became more comfortable and confident.

Would you do another Fearlessly Feminine shoot?

Sure!

Would you recommend a session like this to anyone else? If so, who?

Any woman!

What did you do to prepare for the shoot?

I bought a few new outfits. I took extra care of my skin and face including a hot bath the night before, eating well and drinking plenty of water.

What image was your favorite?

Honestly, I love all of the images I chose. The image that shows my booty is probably the favorite one. I think that is one of my best features.

What products did you decide on? Are you happy with your choice?

I chose the black leather book. I wanted it to be a surprise!

Miss B was just great to work with!   I love girls willing to get out of their comfort zone!  Miss B did her session as a gift for her man, but i'm so glad she did it for herself too!  Because this girl radiates in front of the camera!  Most of her pictures were reserved for his eyes only, but I'm so happy she decided to share a couple!  I just love this girls baby blues!

Happy Monday ladies!  I had SO much fun at the Galentine's Day party with all of you!  For those of you that missed it, no worries you can relive it here and pencil it in for next year!

(we used mango rum)
equal parts fressca and pink lemonade

Cotton Candy Dream
1 shot of Bacardi
1 handful of cotton candy
Pour over with Sprite
Add extra cotton candy to make it sweeter! 

Cranberry Raspberry Flirtini
Mix in a pitcher
1 bottle of moscato
1 cup of cranberry juice
1 cup of orange juice
add raspberries to taste!

Loose your Wings | Workout Wednesday : Evansville IN Boudoir Photographer

The dreaded BATWING. We've all seen it, we all know what it is, and it doesn't look pretty. Back arm jiggle is a problem that all females have been facing for many years now. Even though it's darn near impossible to get rid of completely, it is POSSIBLE to tone it up. By toning up this area you can wave your arms freely in the air with no worries!! 

I'm here to show you a couple of the best workouts for the dreaded batwing. First, let's talk a little science. The muscle that runs along the back side of your arm is called your tricep. This muscle sometimes gets over looked in workouts, because a majority of back and shoulder exercises utilize the tricep muscle, but don't focus on it. 

Add a couple of these moves into your next workout to really get those arms toned. Remember to use light weights and do about 12-15 reps and 3 sets. Add in your other favorite exercises to make this a great circuit! 

For example try this fat and arm burner!

20 squats with body weight

15 tricep kick backs with light weight

20 jumping jacks

12 tricep dips off of a chair

20 crunches 

15 tricep push downs. 

Repeat this workout 3 times to really feel the burn! Make sure to take breaks and get water when you need it!

Fifty Shades of Grey | Evansville IN Boudoir Photographer

So everyone is talking about Fifty Shades of Grey so I decided to jump on the band wagon. Most people are focusing on the sexual aspects of the movie, but no one is addressing the motivations behind the actions.

The main character was horrifically and destructively abused. Most movies are exaggerations on reality.  This movie is a very extreme take on being in a relationship with a battered person. When you love someone you have to decide if you want to forgive their crazy and work through their darkness. *Spoiler Alert*  If you're read the series, you know ultimately he changes for her.

I would never never suggest someone put them self in harms way for someone else. But I feel like the movie has two perspectives and one is the journey of a very abused person trying to learn how to let himself be loved. 

On a more positive note, I think the blind folds and hand cuffs make for playful pictures. :)

We've talked about the benefits of water and keeping your system hydrated. I'm hoping you fearlessly fit babes are keeping your reusable water bottles with you on a daily basis! Now that we've accomplished that step we are going to take it even further. 

LEMON WATER!

No, I'm not talking about lemon water that you get at your favorite restaurant. I'm talking about freshly made lemon water. (Side note, please don't ever get lemon in your water from a restaurant, in high school I was a waitress, you're going to want to trust me on this one.)

Fresh lemon water has so many benefits for your body. ESPECIALLY, when you are trying to get photoshoot ready. Firstly, lemon water helps improve digestion and cleanses out your system. The last thing you want to be is bloated before you get down to your skivvies. Second, lemon water helps keep your skin beautiful! No one wants a big ugly pimple when your getting photos done. (You're lucky because Alisha is one baller photographer, but nothing kills your confidence like a facial flaw!) Lastly, lemon water is a weight loss aide, need I say any more??

So, start out every morning with a big glass of lemon and water and you'll be looking better and feeling greater in no time!!

I also love hearing about her recent work and growing business. This is the second time she's come in to get pictures taken for her brand so I thought it would be fun to share the business behind that great smile!  

Here's some info about what she does for a living as well as some fun facts about her! 

I'm DaKyissa, your Beauty Date host.  I am a Professional Makeup Artist by trade and a Christian at heart.  You can think of me as your Beauty Coach. My goal is to help women and girls embrace and enhance their beauty from the inside out. Beauty Dates are provided for workshops, weddings, films, tv, photo shoots, proms and other special events.  I specialize in both airbrush and traditional makeup.  My skin care lessons are taught using Mary Kay and Natural Remedies such as honey.  Through my journey, I have recently been blessed to become a blogger and News 4 U writer. 

I was a professional actress and model for 7 years

I never wore much makeup when I was younger. In fact, I hated it. Now, it's my career and one my biggest passions in life.
